Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations for our Madison service area. This role is ideal for a motivated, organized leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, work in the field, and deliver exceptional results for our customers.

Company vehicle and field equipment provided.

At the time of hiring, the role includes:

• ~3 days in the field
• ~1 day in sales
• ~1 day in administrative & leadership duties
  

As the location grows, field responsibilities will decrease, and leadership responsibilities will expand.

Key Responsibilities

Field Responsibilities

• Perform basic water testing and help homeowners diagnose water quality issues
• Install and service water softeners, iron filters, and reverse osmosis systems
• Troubleshoot and repair existing piping and water treatment equipment
• Recommend upgrades, replacements, and system improvements

Sales Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home sales appointments, demos, and estimates
• Build customer relationships and identify upsell opportunities
• Develop partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
• Track sales activity and provide progress reports to leadership

Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, routing, and job planning for optimal productivity
• Manage local budget items such as materials, inventory, parts, and labor
• Complete required documentation and ensure compliance with company standards
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing coaching of team members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient facility and yard

General Responsibilities

• Ensure work meets safety requirements and local codes
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving
• Operate basic computer and mobile applications
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Perform general maintenance and installations as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Experience managing a team (beyond overseeing an apprentice)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and performing hands-on field work
• Ability to move equipment up/down stairs and work in confined spaces
• Experience in home services

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed or previously licensed plumber
• Experience in residential water treatment
• Clean driving record

Earning Potential: $80,000 – $200,000+

• Base Salary: $80,000
• Commission: Up to $80,000 (based on self-performed installs & service)
• Bonus: Up to $50,000 (based on location sales & profit performance)
